When Ryan was first starting on his own, one thing he did to provide extra customer care was be willing to travel to meet clients wherever and whenever was convenient for them. This helped to distinguish Carson Law as a firm that would work to make things as easy as possible for those it represents. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Law Society of Ontario modified its client meeting guidelines, creating the opportunity for firms to adopt video conferencing as way to provide greater conveniences. While there isn’t as much of a need for our lawyers to be as mobile as Ryan was in the early days, we are still happy to be as accommodating as is necessary. If you or a loved one are in a situation where you need legal help but there are physical capacity concerns that limits the ability to visit our office or use technology, please let us know.

REMOTE SIGNING AVAILABLE

Using technology that has been approved by the Law Society of Ontario, 50% of our client meetings are now completed using video conferencing platforms and digital signing solutions. No need to book time off work to meet with your lawyer when you can connect face-to-face using your phone or laptop during a break in the day.

As remote meetings have become a regular part of our daily and weekly operations, we also utilize a recommended third-party to assist with identity verifications. While this adds a small extra step to our file opening process, it provides an important boost to our security measures as well as helping to combat against fraud and identity theft.

Nothing will replace the intimacy of shaking someone’s hand and communicating with them in person. While we would love to host everyone in our office for every meeting, we also recognize that life can be busy and schedules fill up fast. Please feel free to take advantage of the convenience of a remote appointment.

Increased reach and service area

With this convenient shift in operations and the adoption of remote tools, we have been able to increase the geographical region that we can service. Where our mobility signing service was often limited to a 2-hour radius from our headquarters in Burlington, we can now easily work with anyone outside that range. As long as it is within the province of Ontario, we are excited to work with you and build your trust.
