For our ninth day of giving, we are HONORED to be donating to The hamilton foundation for student success.
The Hamilton Foundation for Student Success is a charitable foundation of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. The foundation is committed to increasing the school experience by providing a welcoming and inclusive environment that nurtures student achievement.
Through the many donors and partners who support the Foundation, they are able to provide many awards, scholarships, and bursaries to students. The foundation operates with zero administration fees, so you know your donation is going straight to the Children.
Specifically, the Hamilton Foundation for Student Success offers a food program where students who show up to school with little or no food can go to the designated area in the school kitchen at lunch and get a meal. This initiative of the Hamilton Foundation for Student Success is where we will be making our donation for the 12 Days of Giving.
The Removal Of Barriers To Learning So All Students Can Reach Their Full Academic Potential.
The Hamilton Foundation for Student Success focuses on education and learning, and this is why our Law Clerk, Joshua Goetz has chosen it to be our charity for day 9 of giving. Joshua chose this from personal experience he has by volunteering for field trips and activities at Highview Elementary School. Here. He notices many children, ages 5-9, showing up to school with nothing in their lunch bags. These children have no food, are hungry, and most likely too embarrassed to ask for food. This program gives them them opportunity to receive a meal and focus on learning. “It broke my heart seeing this … it makes me feel blessed, humbled, and privileged to have what I have and be able to provide for my family.”
