Day 23 goes towards the Canadian Mental Health Association, on behalf of Ryan Carson, President & Solicitor of Carson Law.
Founded in 1918, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is the most established, most extensive community mental health organization in Canada.
The CMHA is guided by lived experiences. For over 20 years, their National Council of Persons with Lived Experience (NCPLE) has been instrumental in providing policy and program development leadership, expertise and perspective of those living with experience of mental illness to all issues and concerns on CMHA’s national agenda.
The CMHA is committed to advancing the goals of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. CMHA is committed to learning from and working with Indigenous partners, through a process of mutual respect and cultural humility, to ensure the programs are culturally safe and meaningful.
CMHA provides advocacy and resources that help to prevent mental health problems and illnesses, support recovery and resilience, and enable all Canadians to flourish and thrive.
