Because our staff cares so much about animals, we cannot choose just one to donate to, so let’s do all three!
Save Our Scruff is a non-profit organization located in Toronto dedicated to rescuing dogs and finding them safe and suitable permanent homes through adoption, advocacy, and education. Their motto is ‘a dog in need is a dog in need’, and they don’t turn any dog away regardless of medical care, rehabilitation, age or breed.

The Niagara SPCA hopes to prevent cruelty to all animals through public education on humane treatment and to provide love, care, shelter, and advocacy for companion animals in the community. They are committed to a no-kill philosophy, embracing the practices of rehabilitating, fostering, and rehoming companion animals in need, and to prevent their overpopulation through community outreach.
There are different ways to give to the Niagara SPCA. You can become a part of their Ambassador Monthly Giving Program, Planned Giving, Sponsor a Cage for local and surrounding area Businesses, or to Donate.
Niagara SPCA's mission would not be possible without the entire community. The shelter relies almost entirely on private gifts for their funding and operating a no-kill shelter requires significantly more resources because some of their furry friends end up being with them for a while longer.
The Animal Adoptions of Flamborough is a registered charity, operated by a group of volunteers, with the sole purpose of caring for lost, mistreated and abandoned animals. The organization is operated by a Board of Directors and they receive no government funding of any kind and rely solely on donations.
The Animal Adoptions of Flamborough features a no kill policy! All of their animals receive a medical wellness check-up, inoculations, microchip, deworming, are spayed or neutered, and kept warm, feed and sheltered. They feel that the best treatment the animals can receive is love and care.
All contributions go directly to the care of the animals and any related costs. Animal Adoptions of Flamborough must pay rent/boarding fees, veterinary fees and of course, food and litter. Your contributions are necessary to take care of the many animals that are abandoned and alone. These animals require not only medical treatment but your love and care.

These wonderful charities were chosen by two of our Law Clerks, Lisa Esposto and Rachel Melia, and our Administrative Assistant; Wills & Estates, Jan Christmas. All three of the lovely ladies have such passion for those who cannot care for themselves. From not wanting to see strays on the street, to adopting from these shelters themselves, they focus on those who give us unconditional love and who also need our support this time of year.
