The mission of the Burlington Food Bank is to provide nutritious food to the hungry of the community in a dignified and timely manner. They guide themselves within the community using their value propositions:
1. Our Food Bank is committed to feeding the hungry in our community. Our clients are treated with dignity & respect. We welcome all clients without judgement. 2. Our Food Bank is about food distribution. We collect, sort and distribute food to our clients and outreach food programs. 3. Donations from our financial supporters allow us to purchase perishable food items like milk, meat, eggs, etc. Our food donors allow us to feed the hungry. 4. Our valued partners provide the Food Bank with nutritious food and hygiene products to help meet our client needs. 5. Our Food bank relies on the dedicated staff and volunteers to help receive food, inspect for expiry dates, sort and distribute to our clients. 6. Our strategic board provides direction to the staff at the Food Bank; this includes yearly planning to enhance the client experience.

Help Us Feed Hope To Those In Need
The Burlington Food Bank was chosen by our founder, Ryan Carson. He chose this charity because he believes the essentials of having food and drink are so important to the foundations of good health. Health is fundamental to all other aspects of life as well; without food, studies are more difficult as we can’t concentrate, physical activity is difficult and under-performed, as we don’t have the correct energy needed, and finally, emotionally we are drained because our body is not chemically balanced. Food is essential and something that all, regardless of wealth, should have access to.

November 1, 2017, Linda Downey and her husband Robert Downey, became the founders of the Storehouse Food Bank. They first noticed the need to open a food bank in Wellington after listening to some families in Wellington and the surrounding communities about their struggles.
Over the years, they learned that it was not just families on government assistance that were struggling, but also the working poor and seniors. Over the years they have expanded to be more than just a food bank. They do a back-to-school fundraiser, snow suit campaign, Christmas’s Angels, and a holiday meal at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Wellington Food Bank strives to ensure that their work has a positive impact by involving individuals, companies, schools, and community groups together to end hunger and poverty in the community.
The Wellington Foodbank Mission:
To provide food, clothing, household items, and resources for hungry people
To assist those whom we serve to attain a better quality of life by offering support in resolving issues that may accompany hunger and give them access to other agencies in the community that may be able to help them in their particular need
To educate the public on poverty issues
Everyone Has The Right To Food Security And An Acceptable Standard Of Living
